Adding Approved Courses to an Instructor

 

Purpose

Use this procedure to add a department to an instructor's "Approved Course" list.

Trigger

Perform this procedure when an instructor needs to teach a class that is owned by an Academic Organization outside the instructor's Primary Academic Org..

Procedure

1.       Curriculum Management  Instructor/Advisor Information  Instructor/Advisor Table

2.       As required, complete/review the following fields:

iSIS unique system identifier.  NOTE:  The iSIS Empl ID does not match the HRIS Empl ID.

Campus ID

K-State issued student identifier.  Also called, the Wildcat ID (WID).

National identification number issued by the US government.  Social Security Number (SSN).  NOTE:  unknown SSNs are recorded as 999-99-9999.

Person's last name.

An entity that is part of the administrative structure within K-State. At the lowest level, an academic organization might be an academic department. At the highest level, an academic organization can represent all of K-State.

Result

You have successfully permitted an instructor to be added to a Class Section owned by the designated academic department.

Comments

An instructor may have approved courses under more than one department.
