iSIS Final Grade Submission Information


Final grade submission is in iSIS, and electronic only; no paper grade sheets will be used. Instructors are encouraged to visit iSIS and become familiar with the system and tools prior to submitting final grades. See the information below and to the right for futher explanation.


Important Dates

Grade Roster Availability
Regular courses

Grade rosters are available in iSIS for grade entry after 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 4th.

Non-standard courses - including all summer courses

Grade Rosters are available in iSIS for grade entry the day after the last day of class.

Grade Submission Deadlines
Regular courses

Grades are due 5:00 pm, Tuesday, May 15, 2012 for term courses with final examinations given Monday, May 7 - Friday, May 11.

The deadline to copy grades from K-State Online to iSIS is 4:00 pm, May 15 in order to allow time for back end processes to run.

Non-standard courses - including all summer courses

Grades are due five business days after a class ends, except when the last day of the NST class coincides with the last day of the regular session classes for a term. In that case, the grade submission deadline is the same as that for the regular session classes.

Five business days after the course ends - once grades have been approved and posted to students’ academic records in iSIS.


Important Grade Submission Facts

  • When entering grades in iSIS, a grade must be assigned to all students in order to approve grades, otherwise grades will remain in Review status.
  • Instructors are encouraged to periodically click the Save button when entering grades for large course sections.
  • Instructors who copy grades from K-State Online into iSIS must go into iSIS and APPROVE the copied grades in order for them to be POSTED to students' academic records.
  • Do not wait to start the grade submission process at 4:55 pm on May 15. The time on your computer and the iSIS server may not be the same. To avoid sign in problems and to make sure class/grading options are setup correctly, don't wait until the last minute.
  • The deadline to copy grades from K-State Online to iSIS is 4:00 pm, May 15 in order to allow time for back end processes to run.
  • A grade of NR (Not Reported) will be automatically inserted in ALL Grade Rosters for each student who does not have a final grade reported.

If you do not see the course in your organizer, contact the IT Help Desk for access.
