ABOUT MANHATTAN

   Manhattan is a small university town, with a population around 45,000 and is located 135 miles west of Kansas City. The weather in Manhattan varies extensively over the year with a summer high of up to 105 degrees Fahrenheit (41 degrees Celsius) and a winter low of 4 degrees Fahrenheit (-15 degrees Celsius or even worse!). The annual snowfall averages about 10 inches. Manhattan has a very diverse student community. There are more than 95 nationalities represented at K.S.U.
