·        Art, Paint and Sculpture exhibits - The rich and cultural diversity of India will be on display in the form of artifacts, paintings, traditional dresses, musical instruments invented hundreds of centuries ago

·        Rangoli - A colorful design called a Rangoli is made near the entrance to a house to welcome guests. Traditionally they are painted or created out of colored sand/rice powder. A symmetrical design or picture is drawn and colored rice powder/sand is then layered on top to form a picture.

 

Cultural show - Time: 02.00 to 06.00 pm - Venue: K-State Union Forum Hall - Admission: Free

 

India has always been a patron of arts and culture. In the cultural show you will be treated to a variety of programs, which represent India in various forms ranging from movies to a common man's life to the richness of our culture. Some of the attractions are:

 

·        Folk Dance forms - Be ready to witness various dance forms like Bharatnatyam, Bhangra and

·        Fashion show

·        Musical performances

 

Indian Dinner - Time: 06.30 to 08.30 pm - Venue: Fiedler Atrium

Admission: Tickets sold at the Union food court from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm from 10 to 14th November

Ticket price is $3.50 for members and $7.50 for non-members

 

The most enduring part of Indian culture is the taste of cuisine that sends mouth watering from miles away. If you haven't tasted Indian cuisine then you have not yet tasted the best food in the world. A variety of food from Indian bread (Naan) to mouth-watering Curry, Indian Salad (Boondi Raita), aromatic vegetable rice (Pulav), Chicken, Sweet (Gulab Jamun) and much more can be tasted in this dinner buffet.
