Permanent Residency

The United States Department of Labor (DOL) regulations now require that the hiring employer pay the attorney's fees for the Labor Certification process.  This is the first step in many Permanent Residency cases. 

If a K-State unit, department or college wishes to retain an employee by requesting Permanent Residence for the individual, then the unit or department will be responsible for covering the associated attorney expenses.  The university maintains a list of attorneys that the employee must choose from for respresentation.  Depending on the complexity of the application, the attorney fees range from $1,500 to $3,000.  The attorneys are listed below.
