Internal Audit Staff	K-State Student Union

Warren Strauss is Director of Internal Audit at Kansas State University. He has held this position at Kansas State University since 1988. Prior to this position, he was in the University Controller's Office for 23 years.

Warren Strauss has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Kansas State University. He is member of a number of professional organizations including the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Association of College and University Auditors.

Toynia Smith has been in the Internal Audit Office since 1998. Toynia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Truman State University (formerly Northeast Missouri State University) and is a CIA (Certified Internal Auditor). Her previous experience includes work in the accounting field primarily with the federal government. Prior to joining the Internal Audit Office, she had five years accounting experience in the Kansas State University Controller's Office including nearly three years in the sponsored projects area.

Melissa Butler has been with the Internal Audit Office since 2007. Melissa has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from Kansas State University. Melissa’s experience includes six years of field auditing for the State of Kansas prior to joining our staff.
