Message manager

Message Manager is a software application to handle your voice messaging you can create, send, and receive messages inside or outside your workplace network. Accessing messages is just a mouse click away while viewing them on your PC screen. (Click image below to view message manager screen shot)



Benefits Include:
  • Visual display of your AUDIX mailbox with the ability to play, view, and save your voice messages.
  • Personal folders contain copies of messages from other Message Manager folders. You can give these folders descriptive names. Because personal folder messages are stored on your PC, you can keep them as long as you wish.
  • A personal address book allows you to store addresses and important information on your PC, independent of the AUDIX server.
  • A sound card supports playing and recording messages, greetings, and names on a PC.


What is Required to Run Message Manager?
  • Message Manager requires client software, minimal hardware standards, and a LAN connection to the AUDIX server.  Must be on campus K-State Faculty or Staff to download Message Manager.

  • To subscribe to this service you must submit a Telecom work order to Telecom. ($1/month)

To Setup Message Manager:
(After subscribing to the service and downloading the software)

  • Open the .zip file and double click Setup.exe
  • Click Run if Windows gives you a File Security Warning
  • Click Next at Welcome screen
  • Agree to the Software License Agreement
  • On the Tell Me About... screen select Continue With Install and click Next
  • Select Single User Installation and click Next
  • Exit all open program and clcik Next
  • Select installation directory and clcik Next
  • Under Backup Replacement Files select Yes and click Next
  • Uncheck Fax and Click Next
  • Select all languages to be installed and click Next
  • Select Initial Language and click Next
  • Click Next to begin installation
  • After the installation is complete reboot your computer
  • After you have rebooted, launch Message Manager and use the following settings:
    • AUDIX Server ID: audix.telecom.ksu.edu
    • Extension: Your five digit phone number
    • Audio Connection: Your 5 digit phone number.  Should fill itself in.
    • Password: Your current password for retrieving messages
  • Click Login
