Personal Computer Repair

Here's how to obtain service from the Technology Service Center for your personally owned computing equipment.

Services

  • PC and Macintosh maintenance and repair, plus repair of printers, monitors, and peripherals
  • Warranty repairs and authorized service on Dell and Apple Macintosh computers
  • Sales and installation of individual parts and software

Rates

  • The standard labor rate for personally owned equipment is $55 per hour.
  • All repairs not covered by a manufacturers warranty are subject to a half-hour minimum charge. You will be contacted prior to any charges being incurred beyond the half-hour minimum.

Process to request personal computer repair

  1. Read a description of services available and your responsibilities.
  2. Review the Terms and Conditions.
  3. Take your computer to one of these locations:
    • Technology Service Center, 121 East Stadium
    • IT Help Desk, 214 Hale Library
    • Union Computer Store, 115 K-State Student Union
  4. If you are at one of the listed locations and agree to the Terms and Conditions, submit a request for personal computer repair.
