iTAC staff will be performing software upgrades in university computing labs (Seaton 23, Dickens 001, Justin 325, Union Copy center, Union Station), Hale Library Infocommons, and Seaton and Cardwell libraries. Departments impacted are ALC, Hale Library, Statistics, and CIS.

During the Summer break, all common core Technology Classrooms will be upgraded with new software. This will include Office 2007 as well as security patches and updates to existing software.

The purpose of this change is to apply a patch to the OME KEAS application. There should be no impact on users. The patch deployment time is ~1-2 minutes. Any directory server updates during this time will be queued until after the patch is finished. No downtime is expected.

The Great Plains Network (GPN) will perform a software upgrade on their router for IPv6 support and other features. Although there will be a disruption of K-State Internet2 service, no other Internet service disruptions will occur as a result of this maintenance.

The Windows Network file service which includes the w: x: and y: drives will be unavailable. If there are documents you will need to access during this time, we recommend copying them locally for the evening and then recopying them back to the server after maintenance is completed. All users connecting to Platinum for network file services will be affected. Affected organizations: Internal Audit, Controllers, KSUL, OEIE, BMA, CTS, iTAC, NISTAC, Employee Relations and Affirmative Action.

The maintenance on the K-State Enterprise Project Management (EPM) server
previously scheduled for Friday May 2nd from 7:00 pm to 11:30 pm is being
postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.
The EPM server will be available during this time. The EPM server is used by IT
staff in ISO, OME, ECC, iTAC and CTS. Portfolio managers should make staff aware
of the cancellation of this maintenance period.
