Pagers
Students, faculty/staff and anyone else associated with Kansas State University may rent pagers from K-State Telecommunications. Motorola numeric pagers are available in short-range and long-range models.Submit a Page - Short Range Pager (3 digit pager number)
Click here to submit a page via the World Wide Web. You may also submit a page by calling 532-5000 and entering the digit pager number followed by the # key. Wait for the confirmation tone. Then enter the number you would like displayed and press #. For an alphanumeric page, you can enter a text message.
Submit a Page - Long Range Pager (pager phone number)
Click here to submit a page via the Metrocall web page, then hit the "SEND A MESSAGE" button. Type in the full telephone number of the pager including the area code. Type in a return phone number for a numeric pager or a phone number or message for an alphanumeric pager. You may also submit a page by calling the pager number. Enter he number you want displayed followed by the # key.
Alphanumeric Pagers
K-State's alphanumeric pagers are available only for faculty/staff. The short range pagers can cover up to seven miles outside of Manhattan. The charge for this pager is $10/month.
Short-Range Pagers
Kansas State University's short range (Numeric) pagers cover up to seven miles outside of Manhattan. Short range pagers can be rented at a $5 monthly charge.
Long-Range Pagers
Kansas State University Telecom's long-range (Numeric) pagers cover key areas of Kansas and Missouri, including Wichita, Salina, Kansas City, Manhattan, and Topeka. See map below for more details. A user can rent these pagers for only $9 month.
