August updates to central university web servers
by B. Edwards, Computing and Network Servicesy
published Sept. 13, 2005
In August, several updates were made to K-State's central web servers. One of the least visible changes that
had a big impact was the central website's content being moved to the university's Storage Area Network.
This helps alleviate previous disk-space problems and also provides more expandable storage.
It also makes K-State's web systems more redundant and reliable.
New web servers were added to support K-State Online and the university's
new portal at connect.k-state.edu.
