Volunteers are needed to work on these dates. About 30 individuals have signed up to assist with Operation PC over the three-day period, but 60 more technical and functional people are needed. A database is being created to collect information on the types of computers students are bringing to campus; a process is in place for computer repair; and training is being scheduled to train the staff. Finkeldei, Office of Mediated Educationpublished July 26, 2005 K-State Online will be unavailable all day Saturday, Aug. 6, for the latest upgrade to version 5.5. The upgrade will begin early that Saturday morning and is expected to take all day. Updates will include a "Sign Out" button, one of the most requested improvements for K-State Online. Instructors must convert their content in K-State Online after the Aug. 6 upgrade. Before each course is ready to use, an important step must be completed to migrate your course content from the old system to the new one. Instructors will be prompted to complete this step when they access the Manage Files tool in each course for the first time.
