Chris Casey is the team leader for the SAN/Unix Administrators’ group, a team of IT professionals who provide core services to the university. Chris is an incredibly dedicated and hard working individual. As a past winner of IT Innovator, he has proven that he knows what it takes to ensure that K-State’s email infrastructure works well and is ready to handle the various things thrown at it. Chris leads. Chris is creative in find solutions to seemingly impossible problems. He is dedicated to providing the best possible solution and works tirelessly. Often faced with limited resources and unrealistic expectations, Chris time and again delivers a quality and stable end product. His leadership of his team is effective and obvious as the level of support from his team is constant across all team members. Chris has been instrumental in the work being done to integrate Zimbra into K-State's current systems. He done a lot of work and research to move this project forward and has provided important leadership about what is required to make email work. Chris is also a person who works well with others and strives to ensure people’s needs are being met. He does not skip over details or take shortcuts. He provides the best service possible and ensures the stability of the system and keeps things running well.
