Axio 2.0, released
in August 2006 – on time and on budget – gives
K-State a learning management system that rivals
commercial products such as Blackboard and WebCT.
This release features many updates, including
essay questions, on-line timed assignments, a
new student interface, and support for the Wimba
virtual classroom system. Developed to meet the
needs of the K-State teaching and research
communities, Axio now extends to other users and
education markets. Angela Chauncey and the Axio
2.0 Team are recognized for their creative
ambition, their devotion to excellence, their
consistent inclusion of input and suggestions
from campus users, and their tireless effort to
create a coherent and usable LMS (learning
management system) for the K-State community and
beyond. K-State courses, collaboration, and
communication – now, more than ever – are
powered by Axio.
