Meritorious Recognition goes to:

Bryan Kraus - Controller's Office

Bryan is the System Coordinator for the Controller’s Office and was the functional team lead for the Financial Team of the LASER Project.  He was the key person from a non-central IT unit on this project.  Without his leadership and abilities, this system would never have been implemented on schedule.  Even throughout this stressful time, Bryan always had a smile and a positive attitude.  The Controller’s Office and the entire university owe a debt of gratitude to Bryan and his accomplishments and dedication to the university.

Roger Trenary - Economics

Roger is an instructor in Economics who contributes regularly to IT.  He was one of the first instructors to make use of the K-State cable channel and worked to make the process streamlined.  Roger has also helped define requirements and help IT personnel fine tune systems such as K-State Online.  His ideas have made the system easier to use and more efficient for instructors.  He is respected by many and should be thanked and recognized for his efforts to make the system better for everyone.

Bryan Rall - OME

Bryan’s role is the systems architect in Mediated Education.  His work reaches beyond the boundaries of OME in many cases.  Bryan has the ability to provide solutions which are very complex and use cutting edge technology that require teamwork across several units.  He is a very innovative problem solver and dedicated to his work.

Brenda Wienck - ECC

If there is a single person who touches, in some way, every project that comes through the ECC’s doors; that person is Brenda.  She is a team player who makes herself available to assist anyone, anytime, on any project.  She remains calm under stress, is a dynamic and dedicated team member and always has a positive attitude.  She is a real team player.

Chih-Ching Ma - ISO

Chih-Ching is always willing and able to do whatever is asked of her.  She is knowledgeable, positive, a good listener, hard-working, considerate, and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it.  She treats everyone she deals with with dignity and respect.

Benjamin Oglesby - iTAC

Ben is currently the head lead student for all of the consultants at the IT Helpdesk.  He frequently suggests new information for use by the Help Desk and embraces new technologies that students will use and that the helpdesk will eventually support.  He does all of this with a positive, professional and constructive attitude.

Sarah Pierce - iTAC

Sarah joined iTAC in June of this year and hit the ground with her feet running.  She has become indispensable.  She has tackled the E-mail Enhancement Project and then Operation PC.  She is a quick study, highly effective and an independent worker.

Rebecca Bennett - iTAC

Rebecca is a lead student consultant in iTAC.  She truly goes above and beyond the call of duty for her customers.  She is a sincere, caring and honest employee who believes in delivering her best to the organization.

Sharon Brookshire - DCE

Sharon is a Program Administrator for DCE.  She is uncompromising about quality.  Her work is visible outside of our campus on a regular basis and everything that she does represents Kansas State University in a positive light.  She is organized, creative, and never satisfied with the status quo.  Her customer satisfaction is exemplified by the numerous and glowing compliments from her sponsors and their requests to work with her again.

Global Flyer World Wide Video Coverage Team - ECC

The ECC provided around the clock, worldwide, live and videotaped coverage of the Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer Non-Stop flight around the world.  This once-in-a-lifetime event brought worldwide attention to K-State.  There was no opportunity for a dress rehearsal and no margin for error.  The Global Flyer World Wide Video Coverage Team in the ECC worked with Telecom and CNS to make this video coverage project a success.
