Meritorious Recognition goes to:

Don Hogg

Don has been involved in IT at KSU before there was IT. Don is the heart and soul of our operation. He was the first or second person hired in the ECC. Don has a tremendous ability to look ahead and anticipate future needs.

Rob Wirtz

Rob always tries to find the right solution so everyone can come out a winner. He has a great attention to detail. He realizes time constraints and prioritizes his work well. He's a great planner.

While working on the Virage project for the Digital Library. He has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty on this project and exceeding the expectations of those involved.

Richard Becker

I know of few, if any, people who take more pride in IT and K-State. He always goes beyond what's expected to serve customers and won't rest until a problem is fixed. Richard has made many contributions to IT at K-State.

Richard has a wonderful work ethic; shows incredible patience and goes the extra step. He is attuned to people’s needs and provides great customer service.

Patti Sexton

Patti Sexton always goes above and beyond what is expected in order to assist our customers. She keeps track of many of them and knows what their history is when they come into the office. She is always dependable and finds solutions to their needs. Patti asks lots of good questions to rectify problems. She keeps very good notes and does call-backs to make sure the customer is satisfied.

FSHS 110 Mediation Project

The FSHS project was a collaborative, innovative project mediating a large enrollment on-campus course. The student response was very positive. "This team would be real hard to beat".

We had coordinator for the project, Janice Nikkel. She is very good; she understands the project and then coaching folks along in completing the tasks in a timely manner.

This is a watershed project for university. It successfully showed that a course could be offered on-line to meet student and course needs. It took course numbers from 300 to 1000 and from syllabus to final exam. We were able to handle more students. This course will be a model for other courses going this route.
