  Charles William Hugo
Charles “Charlie” William Hugo, 21, Manhattan, died Aug. 13, 2002, at Mercy Health Center. No cause of death was available.

He was born June 13, 1981, in Manhattan, the son of Cornelius and Corina (Salas) Hugo.
Mr. Hugo graduated from Manhattan High School and was currently a student at Kansas State University studying digital art. He was employed at the Information Technology Assistance Center/Multimedia Service at Hale Library on the KSU campus.

His family says he loved and excelled on the computer as well as visual arts, and played tennis with his friends. He was a good friend, great brother and son, and a kind and compassionate person to all he met. He will be missed greatly by all those whose paths he crossed.

Mr. Hugo is survived by his parents, Cornelius and Corina Hugo, Manhattan; one brother, Cornelius Hugo, Manhattan; grandparents; and other family in the United States, Germany, and Venezuela.

Cremation is planned with memorial services to be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at All Faiths Chapel on the K-State campus, with Father Keith Weber officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has established the Charles Hugo Memorial Fund. Contributions may be left in care of the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, 66502.
