K-Staters interested in purchasing software for personal or departmental use have several options:

Computer labs

K-State has many computer labs throughout campus to meet the needs of its growing student and faculty/staff population:

  1. University computing labs for all K-State students, faculty, and staff. Each requires K-Staters to sign in with their eID and password. The labs offer a variety of software.
  2. K-State InfoCommons is located in Hale Library and includes 213 computers for public use.
  3. Departmental labs are reserved for students in specific fields of study. Ask your advisor about available labs or contact the department's main office about usage guidelines.

Buying a computer

K-State provides computer recommendations for beginning students. K-State encourages new students to bring a computer to college for coursework, research, and communicating with instructors and other students.

Computer store

K-State Student Union Computer Store offers everything from printer cartridges and USB flash drives to specialty paper and computers. They are located on the northwest corner of the 1st floor of the Union.

Visit the Information Technology Assistance Center to see the selection of digital cameras, laptops, and camcorders available for check out by K-Staters.
