What happens to e-mail?

When your address is What happens to your e-mail

eID@k-state.edu
  1. e-mail is run through the virus checker
  2. e-mail is compared to the RBLs and refused if it matches
  3. e-mail is tagged for spam
  4. Your spam settings (sensitivity, subject line re-write, etc.) are applied
    • e-mail identified as spam is delivered to your junk folder

and it's forwarded to an alternate address

  1. e-mail is run through the virus checker
  2. e-mail is compared to the RBLs and refused if it matches
  3. e-mail is tagged for spam
  4. e-mail is forwarded to your alternate address
user@DEPT.ksu.edu

This depends entirely on your department. If they have their e-mail delivered through the central e-mail servers, your:

  1. e-mail is run through the virus checker
  2. e-mail is compared to the RBLs and refused if it matches
  3. e-mail is delivered to your department e-mail server
If not, your e-mail goes directly to your department e-mail server. Contact your department e-mail administrator for more information.
