Configuring the HTC Touch
Click the
Start Menu
and choose
Messaging
.
Click
New E-mail Account
.
In the
E-mail address
box, enter your e-mail address.
Uncheck the
Try to get e-mail settings automatically from the Internet
check box.
Click
Next
.
In the
Your e-mail provider
list, select
Internet e-mail
and then click
Next
.
In the
Your Name
box, type your first and last name as you would like it to appear in your e-mail and then click
Next
.
In the
Incoming mail server
box, type
imap.k-state.edu
In the
Account type
list, select
IMAP4
and then click
Next
.
In the
User name
box, type your eID.
In the
Password
box, type your eID passoword and then click
Next
.
In the
Incoming (SMTP) mail server
box, type
auth.smtp.k-state.edu
If needed, select the
Outgoing server requires authentication
and
Use the same user name and password for sending e-mail
check boxes.
Click the
Advanced Server Settings
link.
Click the
Require SSL for Incoming e-mail
check box.
Click the
Require SSL for Outgoing e-mail
check box.
In the
Network connection
list, select
The Internet
and then click
Done
.
Click
Next
.
In the
Automatic Send/Receive
list, select the desired option and then click
Finish
.
Note:
Using a period less than 15 minutes is not recommended.
