Start Up and Shut Down Procedures

Screen: There is a pull-down projector screen located above the whiteboard at the front of the room.

Projector: Epson mounted from the ceiling in the center of the room.

Power: There is a power outlet located on the right side of the Extron Media Selector. It is live and does not require a switch to be turned on.

The Extron Media Selector is located on the wall next to the whiteboard. To turn on the projector you must push the On button under the area where it says Display. This is also where you would turn the projector off when you are done with it.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAN ON THE UNIT OR PLACE ANYTHING HEAVIER THAN A LAPTOP ON IT!

Volume: A small black nob on the left side of the Media Selector controls the volume of all sound entering the system through the inputs. If sound is being played on more than one device, sound for all sources will play in to the room.

Pic Mute Button: This button is used to temporarily turn off the projection from the projector. The projector will remain powered On. To resume, press the Pic Mute button a second time.

Auto Image Button: This button is used to automatically adjust the projector's settings to fit the image you are projecting. It will change the image's resolution for optimal viewing.

Input Selector: You may use one of the three available inputs to select what is shown through the LCD projector. These are selected by pressing the buttons that are labeled as: Video, S-Video, and Laptop. By pressing these buttons you will project the respective input onto the screen.

Input ports: In this room there are 4 sets of input ports you can use. One set is the composite audio connections available (white and red) at the top of the Extron. These run independent of the other inputs and do not require a video input to be selected to be played.
There is a set of composite inputs (Video is yellow, white/red are audio) for the Video selector. They are grouped together below the separate audio inputs. These are the traditional connectors you would find on the ends of a DVD player or gaming console.
There is also an S-Video connection. This uses the S-Video port and the two composite audio inputs.
There is also an area For laptop connectivity, there is a VGA port, standard headphone jack sized cable, Ethernet port, and a live AC power outlet. The appropriate VGA, audio and Ethernet cables are provided.

Audio: This room uses Shure equipment. There is one lapel microphone that is stored at the bottom of the audio cabinet. It does not have independent volume controls in this room. The volume level is pre-set. You may adjust the volume by moving the microphone clip higher or lower on your person. When done with the microphone, please put it in its zip case and lay it flat on the bottom of the cabinet so that when the cabinet is closed that the case is not pinched. The equipment in the cabinet is already set and should not be adjusted.

Light switches (2) are on the immediate left on entry to the room.
