Start-Up for EH226

1. Podium-needed for any activity
   • Unlock 2 locks (3 if using mimio whiteboard)
   • Podium Power remains on at all times. If power is off, power switch is located in the left side of the right cabinet at top
2. Using the Room Lighting-to get better visibility of display
   • Light switches are to the right of the entry door
   • Switch to the left is a dimmer switch for the podium light
3. Using the Microphones-sound system is on when podium power is on (Note: Podium mike is constantly live.)
   • Wireless lapal mic-turn on switches on top of battery pack
   • Handheld wireless mic-turn on switch on side of handle
4. Turning on Plasma Displays
• Press "Display Power" button on Extron Media Link Controller
5. Using/Projecting Computer
   • Press "PC" button on Medial Link Controller
   • PC should be on. If screen is blank, move mouse
   • Wireless mouse is a Gyromouse located next to the computer
6. Using the Viewing Monitor-located below sound system controls
• If monitor flutters, DVD Player is not on
7. Using the Visual Presenter (VP)
   • Raise camera arm and lights
   • Turn on VP
   • Press "Document Camera" switch on the Media Link Controller
8. Using the DVD Player
   • Turn on power
   • Select "DVD or VCR" button on Media Link Controller

Shut-Down for EH226

End of class-prepare for next person-needed if equipment was used

1. If used DVD Player
   • Eject DVD
   • Turn off DVD Player "Power"
2. If used VP
   • Turn off VP
   • Lower lights & camera arm
3. Computer shut-down
   • Return Gyromouse to cradle
   • PC-Go to Start-->Shut Down-->Restart the Computer-->Yes
4. Turn off Media Link Controller-Hold "display power" button down for 2 seconds, then release
5. Put Away Remote mics
6. Podium
   • Lock 2 (or 3) locks
7. Lighting turn off lights if no class following
8. Hotline-Get Help-Phone in drawer with slide projector
   • Dial 2-5798
