Start-Up for BH101

1. Podium-needed for any activity
   • Unlock 4 locks (1A-1D)
   • Podium power remains on at all times. If power is off, the power switch is located at the bottom of the podium in the center.
2. Using the Room Lighting-get better visibility of display
   • Preset dims 1-4 (4 Lowest), press numbered switches
   • Rheostat bottom switch (up to brighten, down to dim)
   • Light the podium, rectangular switch on wall, left of podium
3. Using the microphones (default on, except wireless mics and podium mic)
   • If whole system is off, flip on Sound System switch in closet next to big black box
   • Podium mic-push suqare red LED button at base of unit
   • Wireless mics (found in drawer)-turn switch on
4. Using the Projector
• Press "display power" button on the Media Link control
• Select the correct button on the Media Link that applies to the device in use (PC, MAC, VCR, Document Laptop, Camera)
5. Using/Projecting the Computer
   • PC
     1. Press the PC button on the Extron Media Link Controller
     2. PC should be on. If monitor is black, move mouse
   • MAC
     1. Turn on MAC; press button on keyboard
     2. Press "MAC" switch on Media Link
6. Using the (VP) Visual Presenter (ELMO) to show hard copy
• Raise camera arm and lights
• Turn on VP
• Press the "Document Camera" switch on the Media Link Controller
7. Using the DVD Player- to show DVD
   • Turn on DVD Player "Power"
   • Select the "VCR" or "DVD" button on the Media Link

Shut-Down for BH101

End of class-prepare for next person-needed if equipment was used

1. If used DVD Player
   • Eject DVD
   • Turn off DVD Player "Power"
2. If used VP
   • Turn off VP
   • Lower lights & camera arm
3. Computer shut-down
   • Replace wireless mouse in cradle/charger
   • PC-On bottom menu bar-Select: Start-->Shut Down-->Restart the Computer-->Yes
4. Turn off Projector Press "display power" button on Media Link Controller and hold 2 seconds and release
5. Turn off microphones
   • Turn off microphones (podium button 3B and/or wireless switch)
   • Turn off Sound System in closet
6. Put Away All Remotes
7. Podium
   • Lock 4 locks-Steps (1A-1D)
8. Lighting turn off lights if no class following
9. Hotline-Get Help-Phone in drawer with slide projector
   • Dial 2-5798
