Expertise
Management of stored grain for quality maintenance in tropical and
temperate climates, including aeration, fumigation, measurement
of grain condition, and IPM programs. Dr. Reed is fluent in Spanish.
He has been published in research journals and extension publications;
presented seminars on storage of U.S. corn, grain sorghum, soybeans
and wheat for storage facilities, feed mills and flour mills; conducted
research on grain storage in tropical areas; reviewed food aid projects,
presented food aid management seminars, and/or reviewed research
and manuals on food aid or storage technology in the following countries:
Belize, Bolivia, Botswana, Chad, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cyprus,
Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Equador, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia,
Iraq, Jordan, Malawi, Mali, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Pakistan,
the Philippines, Taiwan, Turkey, Venezuela and Zambia.
