A Message from the Director, John Howard
More than 25 years ago, the Kansas legislature established the International Grains Program.

IGP supports marketing activities by national farmer commodity organizations like the American Soybean Association and the United Soybean Board, the U.S. Grains Council and U.S. Wheat Associates. Its partnership with the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service forms the front line for the American farmers' international grain marketing efforts.

IGP strives to be a wellspring of training and information for the international purchasers and processors using grains produced by U.S. farmers. Today, because of IGP's many years of effort, you can find, in literally every corner of the world, IGP-trained buyers of grain.

Being located within the Department of Grain Science and Industry has given IGP a proven record of success and the program is geared up to meet the challenges of the 21st Century.
