ICC is the annual host of International Week. Every
spring semester, ICC works in collaboration with various International
Student Organizations to create a week of celebration and display
of music, dance, fashion and culture around the world.
Events and activities include:

• Fashion Show
• Parade
International Food Festival
With representation from over 10 countries, ICC organized an international food festival that showcased cuisines from around the world. International students volunteered their time to prepare some of their traditional foods to share with others. Through food, people of all nationalities, American, Japanese, Colombian and more, joined together to learn and exchange culture.
10,000 Villages Fair Trade Sale
As a fundraiser, ICC hosted a 10,000 Villages Sale of fair trade
products handmade from artisans around the world. 10,000 Villages
is a non-profit fair trade organization that sells handicraft from
Latin America, Africa and Asia.
As a fair trade organization, 10,000 Villages pays a fair wage to
producers and provides additional educational and financial support
to fight hunger and poverty in low-income countries.
Learning Trips
With the aim of sharing the cultural and historical areas of Kansas, ICC organizes learning trips for international students. Past trips have included Konza Prairie and nearby cities.
International Student Orientation Programs
At the beginning of spring and fall semester, ICC helps with an
orientation to new international students to help them get acclimated
to a new environment. ICC provides new students with information
about the opportunities in Manhattan and at Kansas State University
while assisting with housing and transportation.

FALL 2006 Ice Cream social
ICC hosts welcome events that include a picnic, ice cream social,
bowling and pizza party. The welcome events serve as a great opportunity
for Americans and current international students to meet new friends
from around the world and share helpful information.
ICC works with the International Student Center to organize other cultural programs.
Coffee
Hour Series
Enjoy a presentation by an international student about their country
and taste some of their traditional foods.
Conversational
English Program (CEP)
Make friends with an international student, exchange cultures
and practice English through conversation and fun activities.
Basic
Language Training (BLT)
Learn the basics of your favorite language 2 nights a week during
a class taught by a native speaker of Japanese, Arabic, Spanish,
French or Czech and more.
