Dean, Division of Continuing Education Dr. Maes is committed to improving access to higher education. She is an expert in distance education, project development and management, and external funding acquisition. Dr. Maes was a founding member of two national initiatives 1) the Rural Clearinghouse for Lifelong Education and Development, an organization which advocated access for rural adults to higher education; and 2) the Association for Community Based Organizations, an organization dedicated to assisting low-income and minority education organizations. Maes served as national President of the University Continuing Education Association. She was recently elected to the International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame. Virginia Moxley, Dean
, College of Human Ecology Dr. Moxley was asked to fill the position of Interim Dean of the College of Human Ecology in January 2006. She is an expert in academic administration and curriculum development. She is an advocate for quality distance education programming. Dr. Moxley is a founding member of the Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance and was their first board chair. Dr. Moxley has also chaired the academic committee of the Board on Human Sciences of the National Association of State Universities and Land Grant Colleges. Coordinator Ms. Williams is an expert in inter-institutional program policies, agreements, and finance; meeting contracts and arrangements; and, grant budgets. She has worked at Kansas State University since 1975 in the following areas: scientific research laboratories, continuing education, student health, and rural economic development. Ms. Williams began work on the FIPSE LAAP project in 2000. Dawn Anderson, Project
Coordinator Ms. Anderson's areas of expertise include: research, writing, online survey development, website development, and inter-institutional course registration. She has worked at Kansas State University since 1984 in the following areas: human resources, student services, agriculture, and affirmative action. Assistant Ms. Reinert has been with Kansas State University’s Institute for Academic Alliances since 2002. She specializes in program and project planning and implementation, grant funding and proposal development, dissemination, online surveys, website development, and evaluation. She has taught courses in grant writing, expressive writing, referential writing, and classical argument. She assisted in editing the Norton Critical Edition of Little Women. She has an M.A. in English Language, Composition, and Rhetoric and a Graduate Certificate in Technical Writing and Professional Communication from Kansas State University. Experience and Projects
