Recruiting, Interviewing & Selecting a Qualified Diverse Workforce (WTD060)

Learn competency-based behavioral interviewing techniques and situational questions, using the recognized principle that past and/or present behavior is the best predictor of future performance. Discuss how to conduct a successful interview process using behavioral-based interviewing techniques while avoiding potentially unlawful questions.

This session focuses on equipping hiring managers, supervisors and search committee members with knowledge and resources to conduct effective, consistent interview and selection processes.

Discover how to develop useful screening criteria, recruitment tips, communicate soft benefits offered at Kansas State University which communicate why Employer of Choice.

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss hiring challenges while gaining techniques on how to make the right hiring decisions, explore options regarding when and how to ask difficult interview questions and avoid costly mistakes.
