December 30,
2005 Paycheck
The December 30,
2005 is the third paycheck
in the month. Therefore, premiums for
group health insurance, KPERS optional group life insurance, TEA life insurance
and contributions to the KanElect flexible spending accounts will not be
deducted from this third paycheck.
Additionally, 12-month unclassified employees do not earn an 8 hour
vacation day for the pay period December 4 through December 17, paid December 30,
2005.

New Withholding Requirements and Forms for Nonresident
Aliens for 2006
On December 9, 2005 a memorandum was mailed to departmental Personnel
Specialists regarding Internal Revenue Service Notice 2005-76. The memo outlines new rules for determining
the amount of income tax employers must withhold from wages for services
performed by nonresident alien employees (except for students from India)
within the United States for wages paid in 2006. Please refer to the December 9, 2005 memo at: http://www.k-state.edu/hr/news/hrmem.htm
