2006 Tax Treaty Benefit Renewal for Nonresident Aliens
Just a reminder that information was sent to Personnel Specialists on November 15, 2005 regarding 2006 tax treaty benefit renewal for nonresident employees. New 8233s and Appendix A or B are required to be completed annually for those eligible for treaty benefits. The new forms should be returned to our office no later than December 6, 2005 in order to have treaty benefits applied for the paycheck issued January 13, 2006. Holiday Schedule for Classified Recruitment
The deadline for submitting the PER-5, Request for Certified Names, is Monday, December 19, 2005. Requests should be submitted as soon as possible. The final Notice of Vacancies for 2005 will be posted on Wednesday, December 21, 2005. Ads for vacancies posted the week of December 19th will run on Sunday, January 1, 2006. HR Closed During Holiday Break
The Division of Human Resources will be closed during the holiday break, beginning Monday, December 26, 2005 through Monday, January 2, 2006.

Tuition Reduction Program for Spouse/Dependent
A spouse or dependent of an employee who was approved for a tuition waiver for the Fall 2005 semester under the Tuition Reduction Program for Spouse/Dependent does not need to reapply for the Spring 2006 semester. The previous approval is valid for the entire academic year. Questions should be addressed to Student Financial Assistance at (785) 532-6420.
