The Kansas Performance Management Process requires that all classified employees receive an annual review between October 1 and December 23rd of each year. It is now time for supervisors to prepare the annual review form, assign an overall rating and schedule a meeting with the employee(s) being reviewed. All classified employees, except for those currently on probation, must have an annual review submitted to Human Resources no later than December 23, 2013.

Current hourly and graduate student employees who will not be returning for the spring semester may remain on the payroll until January 18, 2014, including students who graduate in December. If you wish to continue the employment of a December graduate beyond January 18th, you must submit a transaction to HR to change them to another type of appointment.
An hourly student being hired for the first time may begin January 19, 2014 or after, if enrolled in at least six credit hours. A graduate student being hired for the first time may be hired January 5, 2014 or after if enrolled in at least six credit hours.
If you have graduate students who have an Appointment End Date in December, but will be reappointed for the spring, you should update the Appointment End Date in HRIS to extend the appointment. You may refer to the HR web page for HRIS instructions for Appointment End Date. By entering an Appointment End Date, you may also terminate your hourly or graduate student employees not returning in the spring.
