HRIS Payroll Funding Timelines
Grant projects involve a number of steps before they become available to use in the HRIS payroll funding area. When creating or renewing a grant project, please allow plenty of time so the grant is available when needed in the HRIS payroll funding area. After a project has been created or renewed in FIS, it becomes available to use in HRIS the following day via a nightly interface. Questions may be directed to your payroll liaison at 785.532.6277.

HRIS Calendar/Schedule
The timelines for entering time and leave and for updating payroll funding for the pay period are the same. In addition to the time and leave timelines, the HRIS Calendars for November and December include the payroll funding timelines. For example, the day that is designated as the last day to enter time and leave is also the last day to update payroll funding for the pay period. The days that are designated as time and leave error detection and correction may also be used to correct payroll funding for the pay period. Internet Explorer is the preferred browser for accessing and working in HRIS. When using other browsers (i.e., Mozilla Firefox, Netscape Navigator, etc.), the user may experience limitations with searches and running reports. Since these limitations are within the browser, we can not control or correct these restrictions. For additional browser information, please go to http://www.k-state.edu/hr/hris/browser.htm. Reminder: Change of Location – New Employee Orientation
Due to continuing construction in Edwards Hall, the New Employee Orientation sessions for October 26 and November 13, 2006, will be MOVED to the Peters Recreational Services building. All orientation session times remain unchanged.

The Peters Recreational Services building may be accessed from Kimball Avenue by entering at Gate 9. When entering the Peters Recreational Services building, the employee needs to advise the attendant that they are attending New Employee Orientation in the Multi-Purpose Room. Any valid KSU parking permit is acceptable in the parking lots adjacent to the Peters Recreational Services building; otherwise, metered parking is also available.
