Additional Pay
A recent audit revealed that some additional pay forms were
submitted requesting the additional pay be funded from grant projects.
Additional pay, which includes overload and contractual pay, must be paid from
non grant projects. Additional pay can not be paid from sponsored

Automatically Terminating Student Employees
If your department has students
active in HRIS but no longer working, an easy, paperless way to terminate them
is to use the End of Appointment date in HRIS. Once terminated, they
will no longer appear within the time entry page, waste paper producing time
documents or appear on current payroll reports. Also, their separation
will open the position and enable the department to hire someone else.
Please assist HR in producing more accurate counts of active employees by
terminating these employees. When entering the end of appointment date
remember to use only current or future pay period dates. Instructions:

Flexible Spending Account – Health Care

the 2007 KanElect Health Care Flexible Spending Account has a “grace

Visiting Scholars
If a department would like to bring a visiting international
scholar to KSU, you should begin the paperwork at least three months prior to
the scholar’s anticipated arrival. The
department should contact the International Student Center, Affirmative
Action, and Human Resources for assistance.
All visiting scholars (professors, scientists, researchers, etc.) should
be paid through payroll. Questions
