2012 Discretionary Day

For eligible employees whose last workday of a week is Friday, the last day to use the 2012 Discretionary Day is Friday, December 21, 2012. For employees whose last workday of a week is Saturday, the last day to use the 2012 Discretionary Day is Saturday, December 22, 2012. Employees need to check with their supervisor when scheduling their discretionary day.

Employees may determine if they still have an available Discretionary Day by looking on the View Leave Balances page in Employee Self Service. If they see the Plan Type, D-Day on their View Leave Balances page, they still have a Discretionary Day available.

New Holiday Code – KSU1 (KSU Holiday – No Veteran's Day)

A new holiday code has been created for 9-month instructional employees who are not eligible for Veteran's Day. Most 9-month instructional employees do not accrue annual leave and are not eligible for Veteran's Day. These employees have been identified and the new holiday code now appears within their record in HRIS. Holiday credit will not appear in the time entry page for these employees on Veteran's Day.

Only 9-month unclassified benefit eligible employees who are non-instructional accrue annual leave and are eligible for Veteran's Day.

The Time Entry Errors Report now includes an edit to identify when holiday credit has been recorded in error for a 9-month instructional employee who is not earning annual leave.

HRIS Access Report

he HRIS Access Report assists with tracking HRIS security access and may be run at any time. Path: Workforce Administration > Workforce Reports > HRIS Access

For those HRIS users who have had a change in responsibilities, a HRIS Access Form needs to be completed and submitted to modify security access. An automated process eliminates HRIS access, except Employee Self Service, for those who have separated from the university – no need to submit a HRIS Access Form to delete access for these individuals.
