GHI Informational Session
The Division of Human Resources has arranged an informational session on October 19, 2001, at 3:00 p.m., in room 105 Umberger Hall, to highlight the changes to the State of Kansas health insurance and KanElect Flexible Spending Account programs for plan year 2002.

Reservations are not required. Attendees should bring their 2002 health insurance open enrollment booklet.

Please share this information with the employees in your department.

HRIS Archiving
HR Staff are in the process of archiving data off HRIS to re-gain space and to improve system response time.

Paycheck Data - 1st calendar quarter of 1996 has been archived to CD and removed from HRIS. Remainder of 1996 through calendar year 1999 has been moved to history. The history panel is located at Compensate Employees, Maintain Payroll Data (US), Inquire, Paycheck History Data.

Paycheck Distribution Summary - Data has been purged through 05/31/97 and is not available on-line or on CD. Data from 06/01/97 through calendar year 1999 has been moved to history. The history panel is located at Compensate Employees, Maintain Payroll Data (US), Inquire, Paycheck Distribution History.

Time and Leave - Calendar year 1996 leave accruals have been archived to CD and removed from HRIS. We have moved 1997 to the history panel and will be removing this data from HRIS to computer disk. We plan to move 1998 in the near future. The history panel is located at Compensate Employees, Maintain Time and Leave, Use, Leave Accruals - Work History.

Military Leave Guidelines
The Division of Human Resources has recently received guidelines from the Division of Personnel Services (DPS), the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS) and TIAA-CREF concerning employer's responsibilities to employees on military leave under the Uniform Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA).

These guidelines have been summarized and can be found at: http://www.ksu.edu/hr/benefits/military2.html.

Additionally, the summary includes administrative information for processing a Change or Separation PER-39 form when the employee is ordered to active military duty and upon their return from active military duty.
