Benefits-eligible employees received the 2012 Open Enrollment book and instruction email this week. As personnel specialists, you will get many questions on the process, one of which undoubtedly will be, "What's my Employee ID number?" In the instruction letter, we have tried to anticipate questions, addressed sign-in procedures and provided the State's Help Desk phone number if problems arise with the website. We hope that employees will read the email and breeze through the process. An important reminder is that problems with logging in or passwords must be directed to the 24-hour State Help Desk at 1-866-999-3001. We regret we cannot assist in this area —technical support is provided by State of Kansas IT personnel.
Information meetings are scheduled at 9:15 am and again at 3:00 pm in Forum Hall on October 6th. The sessions are identical. This is an opportunity for employees to review changes in the Health Insurance for 2012. This is an invaluable session to help employees complete the October online open enrollment process. For employees outside of Manhattan, there are numerous meetings across the state. Email Benadmin@ksu.edu for dates and locations for those outside of this area.
The Benefits EXPO is Thursday, October 6, 2011 in the K-State Student Union Ballroom with special events in Forum Hall. Vendor booths open at 9 am and continue until 3 pm.
Lafene Student Health Center will provide seasonal flu shots. Bring your health insurance card for payment or $20.00—cash, check or credit card. The shots will be available in the Ballroom.
The Kansas Performance Management Process requires that all classified employees receive an annual review between October 1st and December 23rd of each year. It is now time for supervisors to begin to prepare the annual review form, gather supporting documentation, assign an overall rating and schedule a meeting with the employee(s) being reviewed. All classified employees, except for those currently on probation, must have an annual review submitted to Human Resources no later than December 23, 2011.
With upcoming holidays, HRIS deadlines/timelines will change and will need to be closely monitored. The HRIS Calendar/Schedule is now available via K-State Zimbra Calendar. If you would like this feature on your Zimbra calendar, please notify Frieda Beat at frieda@ksu.edu.
