Benefits-eligible employees will receive the Plan Year 2014 Open Enrollment book and instruction letter (inserted into book) within a few days. As personnel specialists, you will undoubtedly get many questions on the process, one of which will be, "What's my Employee ID number?%quot; In the instruction letter, we try to anticipate questions, address sign-in procedures and provide the State's Help Desk number for problems with the website. We hope employees will read our letter and breeze through the process. An important reminder is that problems with logging in or passwords must be directed to the State Help Desk at 1-866-999-3001. Hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and not 24/7 as indicated in the book. We regret we cannot assist in this area ― technical support is provided by State of Kansas IT personnel.
Health Insurance information meetings are scheduled at 9:00 am and again at 2:00 pm in Forum Hall on October 3rd. The sessions are identical. Please encourage employees to attend.
New this year: An open enrollment website with all the important links.
The End of Temporary Report now displays job code title and FTE. With these added fields, departments may consider using this report to replace what they currently send to Parking Services at the beginning of the academic year to indicate which graduate student employees are eligible for a "W" permit overlay.
As a reminder, no unclassified employee on a temporary appointment (with an FTE of .5 or greater) should have an appointment that exceeds 90 days without a contract and benefits. An extension of this type of appointment will require a contract and benefits, so please be sure to check the FTE and length of appointment before extending the Appointment End Date.
The path for the End of Temporary Appointment report is Workforce Administration>Workforce Reports>End of Temporary Appointment.
Please contact your HR liaison with questions.
