K-State eID – Granting Privileges
Granting privileges to a newly hired employee (excluding student employees)
allows them to establish an e-mail account.
If privileges are not granted prior to being hired in HRIS, the e-mail
account can not be established and they lose the ability to receive valuable
information.
New
employees (excluding student employees) need to self register to create a
K-State eID (electronic ID) by accessing the following Web site and following
the registration instructions: http://eid.K-state.edu. After the employee creates a K-State eID
(electronic ID), department personnel specialists need to grant them privileges
so their e-mail account can be established.
Note: Undergraduate and graduate
students need a K-State eID to enroll, they will have created/registered for an
eID and should know their K-State eID prior to being hired as a student
employee. Please do not have them create
another eID.
