Changes to HRIS Reports
Payroll Payments by Account Report
HRIS users who are retrieving the Payroll Payments by Account Report as an output file need to be aware of this modification. Because of the assorted versions of Windows being used throughout campus, we had to change the way the output file is written for this report. When setting up this report to run, turn on the "Data File Option" check box and select other appropriate data on the Report Request Parameters Panel, select "File" on the Process Scheduler Request Panel, notice that C:\PS\PAY605N\ now appears in the File\Printer Edit Box, select "OK." To retrieve the output file, open Microsoft Excel, go to C:\PS\ instead of C:\temp\ (Example: C:\PS\PPA_04-Aug-2001.out). This does not affect other HRIS reports that are run to a file, only those reports that automatically create an output file. If you receive an error message, delete your "Cache Files" and try running the report again. Contact Alma Deutsch at (785) 532-1448 if you have questions regarding this modification.

Performance Review Due Report
This HRIS report has been modified. "Service Date for Longevity Bonus" has been added to the report. Employee Status has been deleted and the report is now double-spaced for easier reading.

HRIS Training Sessions for September
HRIS Tips and Techniques
Wednesday, September 5, 8:30-11:00 a.m., 202 Fairchild Hall
A great course for NEW HRIS users. This is an activity-based course that provides tips and techniques to enhance HRIS skills and that will concentrate of locating/viewing information on-line. Participants will use their personal operator identification and password to access HRIS in this session.

Recording Time and Leave in HRIS (two-session course)
Wednesday & Thursday, September 12 & 13, 8:30-11:30 a.m., 202 Fairchild Hall
This course is for new employees who will be maintaining time and leave or for those who want a refresher course. Course scenarios pertain to all types of employees.

Establishing and Maintaining Department Funding in HRIS (two-session course)
Wednesday & Thursday, September 26 & 27, 8:30-11:30 a.m., 202 Fairchild Hall
A course designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for maintaining payroll funding using HRIS. On-line activities will be included in this course to enable participants to maintain funding at all levels. Also, retroactive funding changes (i.e., prior pay period adjustments) will be addressed.

The last day an employee may use their 2001 Discretionary Day is Friday, December 21, 2001. Please advise any eligible employees in your department who have not used their 2001 Discretionary Day of this provision.
