Updating Contract Data in HRIS
At the beginning of each new fiscal year, the contract data
pages in HRIS are automatically updated for regular unclassified employees.
New rows have been inserted for fiscal year 2008 based on the employees months
basis. The only
on-line entry required by department personnel specialists will be for those
individuals whose contract type has changed from FY 2007 to FY 2008 and for
those individuals with renewed term contracts.

Important Deadlines:
September 30, 2007 . 9- and 12-Month Renewed TERM Contracts
Reminder: To reappoint those with TERM contracts, please submit a Change or Separation Form (PER-39) with a copy of the contract to the Division of Human Resources.
Note: Throughout the year when a contract is renewed or changed, on-line entry is required within 20 days from the contract begin date.

New functionality has been added to HRIS. You may now delete unneeded reports from your
report list. Deleting unneeded reports
will free up space on the server and maximize HRIS processing potential. Instructions:

New Federal Minimum Wage Poster
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has updated the Federal
Minimum Wage poster effective June 2007 to reflect the new federal minimum wage
of $5.85 per hour. This poster is
required to be posted on Official Bulletin Boards in buildings across
campus. The new poster may be accessed
at the DOL web site at http://www.dol.gov/esa/regs/compliance/posters/flsa.htm.
Those of you that are responsible for keeping the Official
Bulletin Board updated in your department/building, please print the poster
from the above mentioned web site. The

The Academic Year 2007-2008 GTA/GRA health insurance plan
brochure, enrollment form, and temporary identification card are available on
the Human Resources Benefits Administration web site at http://www.k-state.edu/hr/benefits/gta.html. Printed
brochures have been distributed to departments with GTA/GRA appointments. Contact this office if additional brochures

The employer contribution rate for the Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 semesters is $283.00 each semester. The GTA/GRA rate for the Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 semesters is $94.00 each semester for single coverage.
