National Day of Mourning (June 11, 2004)
The National and State Day of Mourning time and leave guidelines/scenarios are available on the following web site:
http://www.ksu.edu/hr/project/tltips.html. Note: Do not delete the HDC (Holiday Credit 1.0) row for an unclassified nonexempt employee as previously stated in the instructions, unless the employee is not eligible for Holiday Credit.

Hours worked on a holiday by a classified nonexempt employee that result in overtime hours for the workweek shall be compensated at additional half-time rate for the resulting overtime hours. These hours will be recorded using the earnings code HCV (Holiday Premium Comp Time .5).

Example: If CME (Comp Time 1.5) or OTP (Overtime Pay 1.5) has been recorded on Friday, June 11, 2004, for a classified nonexempt employee, a HCV row will need to be added and the number of overtime hours recorded.

CME or OTP = 2 hours; HCV = 2 hours
CME or OTP = 4 hours; HCV = 4 hours

Questions may be addressed to Alma Deutsch at (785) 532-1448 or Kristi Fronce at (785) 532-1889.
