The Intellectual Property Agreement has been revised and the new
version must be used for all new employees effective immediately. The new

State of Kansas policy now requires that all state employees receive annual training in IT security each fiscal year. The last face-to-face sessions for this fiscal year are scheduled for:
Personnel Specialists may run the report "EE's Who Need Course" to determine those in departments who still need to complete the course. The path in HRIS is: Enterprise Learning, Reports, EE's Who Need Course. When running the report, be sure to enter WIT006 session code, also use the start date of 10/12/2010 and the current date as the end date. The training records of employees who take the course online are updated immediately. The training records for those who take the course face-to-face are updated within a week.

All new K-State employees, except student employees, need to create/register a K-State eID. The eID will become their K-State user name and will become part of their K-State e-mail address. It will also be used to enroll in classes, access K-State Online, view/update Employee Self Service/HRIS (i.e., paycheck data, personnel information, leave balances, etc.) and provide access to other resources.

After new employees create/register a K-State eID, as a courtesy, please grant new employee privileges (excluding hourly and graduate students) so they have immediate access to K-State e-mail and calendar, K-State Alerts emergency notification system, and other university resources.

This process may also be used to keep an e-mail account active if the employee has been terminated but will be reappointed.

eTime Entry Workflow Process has been created in HRIS Employee Self Service for hourly student employees. This on-line process replaces the hard copy time document and includes an automated workflow approval process for the supervisor to review and approve the time online.

To enable a comprehensive view of earnings and distribution by position, project, department and org, the CWSP (College Work Study Program) Distribution Report has been modified to display all positions for a student employee, regardless of department.
