Payroll & Employment Dates
For your information a list of current payroll and employment dates are
routinely published by the Division of Human Resources at http://www.k-state.edu/hr/peddates.htm. Some
of the dates included are academic year, fiscal year and summer
dates. Semester
begin and end dates as well as student employment (hire) dates are
also published. In addition there
is a link to the biweekly pay periods and pay dates and the Human
Resources Information System (HRIS) calendar. Questions regarding these dates may be
addressed to the Division of Human Resources,

Revised HR Forms
Many of our forms have been
revised in 2007 for various reasons.
Please take a moment to visit our forms page at http://www.k-state.edu/hr/forms/. Each form has a revision date listed. Please be sure to use the current version of
our forms.
Revisions on some forms
were necessary if they no longer required the social security number while
other forms note the reason for requiring the social security number. For more information regarding Collection,

GTA/GRA Health Insurance – Summer
2007 Semester
As you hire or reappoint graduate teaching assistants and/or
graduate research assistants for the Summer 2007
semester please advise each student about the available GTA/GRA health
insurance plan. Persons appointed at
least .5 FTE for the summer as a graduate teaching assistant or graduate
research assistant are eligible to participate in the health insurance
plan. The coverage period will be
A brochure describing the plan provisions and an enrollment form (including premium rates) are available from the Division of Human Resources web site at: www.k-state.edu/hr/benefits/gta.html, or at 103 Edwards Hall.
NOTE: Please remind anyone enrolling for the GTA/GRA health insurance plan that there will be a slight delay in transmitting the premium payment and enrollment form to Student Resources inasmuch as the Division of Human Resources is required to verify their appointment and participation eligibility prior to sending the documents to Student Resources.
* * WITHOUT A GTA/GRA SUMMER 2007 APPOINTMENT * *
Anyone currently enrolled in the GTA/GRA health insurance
plan and who are NOT reappointed to a .5 FTE or greater GTA/GRA position during
the Summer 2007 semester, may continue with the health insurance plan by completing
a Continuation Insurance Enrollment Card and submitting it directly to Student
Resources. Please note that there is NO
employer contribution for this type of enrollment. The deadline for submission of the
Continuation Insurance Enrollment Card is
A reminder that the employer premium rate for the GTA/GRA health insurance plan for the Summer 2007 semester is $104.00. This premium will not be charged to the department until the beginning of FY 08. Questions should be addressed to Benefits Administration in the Division of Human Resources at (785) 532-6277.

GTA/GRA Health Insurance – Academic Year 2007-2008
Provisions of the 2007-2008 GTA/GRA health insurance plan are currently being reviewed by the Kansas Board of
Regents Student Health Insurance Committee.
Therefore, premium rates have not been published nor has the health
insurance booklet been printed. We will
keep you advised as soon as this information becomes available. Questions should be addressed to Benefits
Administration in the Division of Human Resources at (785) 532-6277.
