K-State employees may now update their home address, phone numbers, emergency contacts, marital status and ethnic group in HRIS Employee Self Service.
This new functionality empowers K-State employees to have direct ownership of their personal data in HRIS and less reliance on HR and department staff. After an employee updates his or her personal information, the change will become effective immediately or on the date specified and will automatically flow to other pages in HRIS. Also, an e-mail will be sent to the employee and to the department personnel specialist after updating an address to confirm the change.
To ensure address changes will be reflected on the next pay check, information needs to be updated on the pay day (Friday) prior to the next pay check. Ex: Make changes by Friday, April 17, for the pay check to be received on May 1; make changes by Friday, May 1, for the pay check to be received on May 15; make changes by Friday, May 15, for the pay check to be received on May 29.
Note: Home Address is used to mail the employee's paycheck/pay advice and W-2 information.
