Payroll Funding Warning Messages
Warning messages have been added to the payroll funding pages to notify users that the selected project, fund source and org combination has not been previously used and therefore has no balance in FIS for that combination.  This message displays for each new combination and for each page (ERN, DED & TAX) where this combination appears.  The warning is prompting you to carefully check the combination to insure it is correct.  This is just a warning and you will still be allowed to save your funding updates.  For questions please contact Shari Liming or Cindy Sicard at (785) 532-6277.

Long Term Care Program
The State of Kansas long term care contractor, MedAmerica, has notified the state that it will not renew their long term care contract, effective March 31, 2006.  MedAmerica will retain and continue to provide long term care insurance for those currently enrolled but not offer new policies to state employees and retirees.  The state is in the process of finding a new long term care provider.

Presidents’ Scholarship Deadline Approaches
The application deadline for the 2006-2007 presidents’ scholarship for classified employees is April 14, 2006.  This scholarship is a one academic year scholarship awarded to an outstanding classified employee taking classes on a full-time basis or to multiple classified employees taking classes on a part-time basis for completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree at KSU.  Further scholarship information and an application form may be obtained from the Division of Human Resources at (785) 532-6277 or by visiting the Benefits Administration web page at: http://www.ksu.edu/hr/benefits.
