Tuition Assistance
The Tuition and Educational Assistance Committee is now accepting tuition assistance applications for the May 2002 intersession and Summer 2002 semester. The tuition assistance program is available to both classified and unclassified professional staff employees. Approved courses include any regular curriculum undergraduate and graduate level course that carries academic credit. Details about this program and the application form (PER-32) are contained in KSU Policy and Procedures Manual Chapter 4870, which can be found on the web at: http://www.ksu.edu/policies/ppm/4870.html. The most current application form to use is dated January 2002.

An original application, along with required supporting documents for the May 2002 intersession and the Summer 2002 semester are due in the Division of Human Resources by close of business April 1, 2002.

How Do I Evaluate Classified Employees?
This course is for anyone who supervises a classified employee. Individuals who want to review this process are welcome. Activities will enable participants to: Determine when performance reviews are due; Identify and write priority outcomes; Document progress notes; Provide supportive feedback; and Assign an appropriate over-all rating.

Application for KPERS Optional Group Term Life Insurance
On February 28, 2002, the Division of Human Resources mailed to each department a new edition of the Application for KPERS Optional Group Term Life Insurance. This new form is identified as GB1916 (R1-02) - located at the lower left portion of the application.

Please destroy any previous editions you may have on hand and begin using the new application form.
