HR Unit Name Change
Classification Services has changed the name of their unit
to Position Administration. This change
reflects the breadth of what is managed by Position Administration, including
classified budget reconciliation, Fair Labor Standards Act review for
unclassified and classified positions, organizational reviews, classification
of civil service positions, essential functions determinations, and other
position management functions. The
website has also been updated with expanded information on Position Administration.

PPM Chapters Revised
The PPM Chapter 4210, Position Management, Funding and Other
Changes for Classified Positions, has been revised. Changes include updating Position
Administration’s name change from Classification Services, incorporation of
forms changes and procedures, and expanded information on audits and position
descriptions.
The PPM Chapter 4220, Hours of Work, Overtime, Overtime Pay and Compensatory Time, The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) has been revised. Changes include updating Position Administration’s name change from Classification Services, incorporation of federal FLSA changes, and expanded information regarding the exempt status of classified and unclassified employees.

Employee Separation Checklist Change
Employee Separation Checklist, PER-24 has been changed to
reflect the revision of the retention period for K-State resources after
separation detailed in the Kansas State University PPM Chapter 3450,
K-State eID Policy and to advise employees to
visit the Preparing to Leave
K-State website. The PER-24 may be
found in various formats on the HR Forms page.

Accident/Injury Report (PER-17) Form
The Accident/Injury Report (PER-17) form has been updated
effective 02/2007. The new form asks if
the treating physician assigned any restrictions that would require job accommodations.
