Paycheck Stub and Advise Print Changes
Topeka has notified us that the insurance codes (A) Covered
Workers
Compensation Insurance; (B) Covered Unemployment Compensation Insurance;
and (C) Covered Life and Disability Insurance will no longer be printed
on paycheck stubs/advises effective with the on-cycle paychecks dated
February 2, 2001.
Please advise your employees that the elimination of these insurance
coverage codes from the paycheck stub/advise is a print change only and
does not affect the coverage provided by the employer.

Basic Telephone Skills
This session focuses upon interpersonal skills and does not
address the
mechanics of phone usage. Participants will learn the following: the
correct way to answer the phone; tips for taking messages; effective
call transfer procedures; what to consider when placing a caller on
hold; how to diffuse an upset caller; and how to close a
conversation.
The session is Tuesday, February 13, 2001, from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
in the K-State Student Union Room 213. Pre-registration is required.
