Employee Informational Meetings
The Division of Human Resources will be offering 1/2 hour informational meetings for any interested employees regarding the Pay Plan Modifications for Fiscal Year 2001. The meetings have been scheduled for:

Tuesday, January 23, 2001 at 3:00 p.m. in the KSSU Big 12 Room

Tuesday, January 23, 2001 at 4:00 p.m. in the KSSU Big 12 Room

Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. in Room 212 KSSU

Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. in Room 212 KSSU

No registration is required.

Now it's "Let's Talk HR" "Let's Talk Payroll" has been expanded to cover all areas within the Division of Human Resources. Please share this information with others in your office that may be interested as we expect our audience to grow. We will offer "Let's Talk HR" on Thursday, February 1, 2001 from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. in the Big 12 Room of the K-State Student Union.

This question-and-answer session is intended for personnel specialists, accountants and anyone else who may be interested in personnel/payroll issues. Conducted as an open forum, the session will provide an opportunity to ask questions regarding all human resource issues. Your questions will be the basis for the forum; there will be short informal presentations regarding recent issues.

Too, please bring your "wishes," that is, your suggestions for improvement.

Pre-registration is required. Contact Employee Relations and Training at 532-3390 or e-mail training@ksu.edu to register. When registering, please include your name, department, employee ID, course title and course date. Note: Obtain any necessary departmental approvals prior to enrolling.

Tuition Assistance
The Tuition and Educational Assistance Committee is now accepting tuition assistance applications for the May intersession and Summer 2001 semester. The tuition assistance program is available to both classified and unclassified professional staff employees. Approved courses include any KSU regular curriculum undergraduate or graduate level course that carries academic credit. Details about this program and the application form (PER-32) are contained in KSU Policy and Procedures Manual Chapter 4870, which can be found on the WWW at: http://www.ksu.edu/policies/ppm/4870.html. The most current application form to use is dated August 2000.

An original application, along with supporting documents, for the May intersession and Summer 2001 semester is due in the Division of Human Resources by close of business, March 1, 2001.
