eID Password Change Deadline is February 8
January 1 through February 8 is the mandatory password-change timeframe.  To change your password, visit the eid.k-state.edu website and sign in, then select the Password option.  If you've forgotten your password, call the IT Help Desk at (785) 532-7722 and verify your identity so staff can set a temporary password for you to sign in on the eID site.  Passwords not changed by the end of Wednesday, February 8, will no longer work.  As a basic security measure, previous passwords cannot be re-used for two years -- since long-term use of the same password is a poor security practice.  See the Password FAQs for details.

GTA/GRA Health Insurance
As you hire or reappoint graduate teaching assistants and/or graduate research assistants for the Spring 2006 semester please advise each student about the available GTA/GRA health insurance plan.  Persons appointed at least .5 FTE for the semester as a graduate teaching assistance or graduate research assistant are eligible to participate in the health insurance plan.

Graduate teaching assistants or graduate research assistants who receive a “renewal premium notice” from Student Resources are to return it, along with the semester premium payment, to the Division of Human Resources, 103 Edwards Hall, by January 31, 2006.  Also, GTA/GRA health insurance booklets and enrollment forms are available from the Division of Human Resources, 103 Edwards Hall.

The Spring 2006 open enrollment period is January 1 – 31, 2006.

The employer contribution rate for the Spring 2006 semester is $228.00.  The GTA/GRA rate for the Spring 2006 semester is $75.00 for single coverage.
